Charming hosts and delicious breakfasts!

A pleasant room, beautifully clean and very centrally located. A very goodbase for exploring the area. If I had to have a quibble I would say the parkingwas a little problematic, obviously the house was built before cars became anissue! Also, a shower over the bath would have been more convenient , butneither of those points would stop me making a return visit.

Penny G.J

A perfect overnight combination

For the perfect combination of a charming Bed & Breakfast and a superb Dinner,The Cavalier House and adjacent Webbes Rock-a-Nore restaurant would be hard tobeat. Our hosts at The Cavalier House - she's an actress, he's a composer -couldn't have been more welcoming and the basement room was a light and airydelight! Our walk to dinner was all of twenty paces as the newly opened WebbesRock-a-Nore restaurant is on the adjacent seafront corner. An excellent menuwith an emphasis on local fresh fish would suit everyone. The Cavalier Houseoffers a first-class breakfast cooked before your eyes and even produced reallygood decaffeinated cafetiere coffee! Hastings has much to offer the walker (theseafront, the castle, the hills), the shopper (a huge eclectic mix of shops)and the nearby De La Warr Pavillion in Bexhill-on-Sea helps to fulfill culturalleanings, offering art exhibitions, ballet, theatre, etc. etc. Perhaps becausewe were just out of season but we didn't find parking a problem and parkedacross the road in the smaller carpark behind Tourist Information, for a mere£3.50 overnight.

Carol& Colin, London

We had an absolutely fantastic time and as far as we're concerned, The Cavalier House is the ONLY place to stay when you're visiting Hastings - and to top it all off, the hosts are amazing

Hejke and Sarah

A lovely place to stay on the edge of town next to the fishing area, nice local pubs and restaurants. The actual place is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The outside has been freshly painted and looks great. The owners make you feel very welcome and serve up a terrific
breakfast in their kitchen and leave you to eat in peace. I would recommend this place to anyone who is look for something a bit different as you are the only ones staying there. Thanks!
Paul and Mary (Reading)

A special place

This beautiful bed & breakfast was recommended to us by good friends for its cleanliness, hospitality and fantastic location within the beautiful Old Town. It is indeed a great place with very nice and helpful people. We enjoyed a very tasty and generous breakfast (we stayed for 2 nights so we tried the Continental breakfast as well!). In short, this place is a real gem for many reasons and we're delighted to have discovered it. We can't wait to be back!
Mr & Mrs P. Johnston (London)
